Serra Aşkın is currently a PhD candidate in Architectural Design

at Istanbul Technical University, with an MA degree in

Architectural History from the Bartlett, UCL, and a B.Arch degree

from ITU. Her main research interests are post war social housing,

re-use of buildings for the benefit of the public, the housing crisis in

conjunction with the climate crisis. She has written and continues

to write articles on architecture, architectural theory, design

and visual media for various online and in-print publications.
